Memorial Highway Chevrolet Teams Up with Somerset County Humane Society in Pennsylvania

#DealershipsGivingBack: Memorial Highway Chevrolet in Somerset is kicking off their month-long mission of helping the Somerset County Humane Society.

Every Saturday for the month of May, they’re asking visitors to fill up the back of a Silverado.

It’s called the “Red, White and Woof” event.

Donations could include dog and cat food, bedding, cleaning supplies, and other items.

Joyce Fallier, Office Manager of Memorial Highway Chevrolet, said you can drop off donations anytime they’re open.

“If you’re shopping at Walmart and you wanted to stop in, you can come in and give it to the receptionist. We can just hold it for you all week. You don’t have to come on a Saturday. You can come anytime during the week,” she told 6 News.

Adoptable dogs are also brought to these events.

Kathy Lioi, volunteer with the Humane Society, said that’s a great way to show off the furry friends who need a home.

“We bring the dogs so folks can see how wonderful shelter pets can be. You adopt them, but they also adopt you,” she said.

T-shirts and other items are being sold at a table inside Memorial Highway’s entrance.

The dealership will donate money to the shelter with a portion of sales from cars sold this month.
