Antelope Valley Chevrolet Donates $10,000 Toward New SUV for Family of Murder Victim

#DealershipsGivingBack: A family-owned and operated dealership in Lancaster, Antelope Valley Chevrolet is donating $10,000 towards a new Chevrolet Suburban for Dorsey’s sister, Jessica Jordan, to assist in the care of her children.

“Were more than honored to assist Ms. Jordan with the proper transportation she now needs,” said Justin Gonzales, Dealer Principal for Antelope Valley Chevrolet. “ We salute our heroes and she is definitely one of them.”

Antelope Valley Chevrolet serves the cities of Lancaster, Northridge, Van Nuys, Bakersfield, Burbank, Palmdale, Santa Clarita, Victorville, Valencia and the surrounding communities, according to the website.

With the sudden expansion of their family to include the full-time care of three additional children, Jordan requires an SUV capable of seating all six children as well as two adults, with additional room from groceries or anything else the family may need to carry.

The Chevrolet Suburban selected for Dorsey’s family in total costs over $60,765 with the license and registration. Thanks to the donation by Antelope Valley Chevrolet, the price has been knocked down to approximately $50,765.

As of Friday, May 21, over $18,500 has been raised by members of the community to help buy the vehicle, and the Santa Clarita Coalition, the organizer of the fundraiser, plans to match all donations made by the community to obtain the vehicle.
