#DealershipsGivingBack: Adventure Subaru, in Fayetteville, Arkansas today announced it will contribute over 300,000 meals to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank via Feeding America as part of a larger initiative to donate 100 million meals by Subaru of America.
From the press release announcing the initiative:
As the effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to hit our communities, Adventure Subaru will again work with Feeding America ® as part of the larger Subaru of America, Inc. initiative to provide an additional 100 million meals to people hit hardest by the crisis. The continued partnership with the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization and the Subaru retailer network will help families and individuals across the country that are still in need during these uncertain times.
When the pandemic first hit, Adventure Subaru stepped in and joined Subaru of America to help donate 50 million meals, and the automaker is doing it again as the hunger crisis continues. Right now, millions of Americans are out of work and cannot access food for themselves or their families. That is why Subaru and its retailers across the country are doubling down with the donation of an additional 100 million meals to Feeding America. Adventure Subaru will again work alongside Subaru of America and the Feeding America network to ensure food banks can secure the resources they need to help the most vulnerable members of their communities.
Adventure Subaru has donated funds for a total of 313,809 meals, with 263,809 coming in partnership with Subaru of America, and an additional 50,000 chipped in by the dealership itself.
According to the press release, $1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of member food banks.
The automaker’s donation to Feeding America is a part of the Subaru Loves to Help pillar, the community-focused initiative of the Subaru Love Promise.
